Welcome to the Activity and Recreation Ministry of First Baptist Church, Garland. We are excited to offer activities and programs to our church family as well as reaching out and involving our community in recreation and sports. We want the McDonald Activity Center to be family-friendly and a place where everyone feels welcome. Our mission is to share the love of Jesus through all that we do. First Baptist Church Garland has been offering Upward Sports programs for the past 12 years. It has been a blessing to see the positive impact these programs have had on families in our community. The fundamental principle in Upward Sports is summarized by the following statement: Today's sports culture has created a "win at all cost" mentality. However, Upward defines winning as learning and/or teaching lessons in the game of life. The emphasis is placed on having fun and good sportsmanship.
