First Baptist Garland is a beautiful place to have a wedding. Stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings are just the beginning. The brides rooms in Cockrell Chapel and the Sanctuary have both recently been remodeled in a romantic, Old-World style with special touches which include full-length mirrors and vanity tables.

Cockrell Chapel and the Sanctuary are available on a first-come, first-served basis to our members or their immediate family. Space is also available in the Parlor and McDonald Activity Center for small or large receptions.

"It Takes Three" Marriage Seminar
"It Takes Three" is a 7-week seminar for engaged and newlywed couples. This seminar is taught by ministers and professional counselors with the purpose of helping you and your partner prepare for marriage. "It Takes Three" focuses on developing a Christ-centered marriage with God as the third and central part of any successful relationship.  First Baptist Garland is an official partner and "Healthy Marriage Affiliate" with the State of Texas Agency, ANTHEM and TwoTogether in Texas.  Upon completion of "It Takes Three", you will receive a certificate to present to the Marriage License Bureau, waiving the $60 Marriage License Fee.   For complete details, you may download our "It Takes Three" brochure.
